3-PARENT BABIES AND ROCKET LAUNCHES! IT'S STEM NEWS!

Here it is! The first episode! Let me know what you think!

Also, This Week in STEM = TWISTEM? Eh? Thoughts?

Side note: While I was getting the links for these articles, I realized that the tech section articles are pretty old. That said, I still think these topics are super interesting. I’ll do a better job of checking my dates. Lesson learned: Just because Popular Mechanics tweets about an article this week doesn’t mean it was written this week.

  1. Hey Steph :D,

I like the idea of your channel and what you are doing, I'm not an expert on videos or youtube channels, so I will just say what I think….

    1. What probably many people will say, you are speaking too fast!, I think that is very common when making firsts videos…
    2. Again, I like the idea of what you are doing, but I would like more content about something than less content about many things, I was trying to process everything that what you were saying when my brain start to hurt…
    3. This could be something silly and if your normal way to talk that is fine, but you make too many grimaces, is good to break the ice, but then it was kind of distracting, you know eyes are curious, it was harder to understand everything listening the content and seeing your  grimaces 😛

Well that is all, I think you will get more comments from others… Good luck!!!

  2. Hi Steph,

Loved the show and you must keep bloopers segment, as it finished the show off perfectly with humour.

Now, stuff I personally like to find out about is:
    1) How do you go from observing comets, to calculating orbits through to landing a probe onto a comet’s surface? (The Rosetta mission. Some serious maths would have gone into that mission…)
    2) When planning an Earth orbit satellite mission, what factors goes into deriving the optimal orbit?
    a) What factors goes into deriving the amount of on-board fuel needed for object avoidance whilst in orbit?
    3) Are there any plans in the works to get rid of space junk in orbit?

    Keep up the good work!
