  1. Thanks for getting this content edited and available so quickly. And for providing it for free!

This information explains how a ketogenic way of eating is so beneficial for patients suffering from chronic fatigue/ Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/ fibromyalgia by specifically explaining how ketones support mitochondrial function which can improve ATP production. So useful!

  2. I’m a type 1 diabetic that used to be a sugar burner. I inject all my insulin. The thing that bothers me about “Keto doctors” is that they all tell us we need to avoid insulin. But NONE of them give values for this. Since I inject all my insulin, I know EXACTLY how much insulin I receive each day. But despite this, I’m clueless as to whether that value is good or not. I found one page on the Internet called “understanding type 1 diabetes” saying the daily requirement of insulin for people is their weight in pounds, divided by 4. So I’m 5’ 11” and weigh 180lbs. So it says I should be at 45 units of insulin daily.

But it doesn’t say how much insulin daily allows me to be in ketosis. And none of the “Keto teachers” actually give values for insulin. Or ACTUAL ways to determine how much insulin a person should receive each day, based on their age/height/weight to be in ketosis.

If you told me values I should be striving for, I’d be very motivated to hit these values. An example would be…If you needed to be 1/8th of your body weight in insulin each day (so for me 180/8 is 22.5 units of insulin daily). Then I’d actually have a goal in mind that I’d need to hit. Currently on a good day my daily insulin is around 36 units. And I’m slowly improving. But I have no idea what I’m supposed to be striving for.

I’d be very thankful if you gave values for how much insulin a person can receive each day and still be in ketosis. Because everyone still gets insulin each day, even if they don’t eat food. So how much insulin does a fasting person receive each day.

I’d be soooooo happy if you (or anyone else knows the answer).

Also I take 12 units lantus (slow acting insulin) before bed, and 12 units when I wake up. Then I just correct my blood sugar with novolog (fast acting insulin) when it rises above 120. So usually another 12 units of insulin to correct high blood sugars. These numbers all vary by a ton daily.

Or if anyone could even just tell me their age/height/weight/how much insulin they take each day/and whether they’re in ketosis or not based on those numbers, that would be immensely helpful!!!

  3. I like the info, but when I see Dr. Bickman is working in the MLM space I just lose ALL respect for the guy. His intentions may be pure, but you have to take responsibility for the associations you make; especially when you are getting paid for that association. His degree and background are used to lend credence to the company. Monetize your expertise with legitimate companies. MLM companies are a complete scam and prey upon people who generally do not have the money to pay for the overpriced products they produce. People at the top of the pyramid scam prey on those who desire success and think the MLM is an avenue for that success. It is not. One recent study showed the average MLM distributor makes about $0.70 an hour, before expenses! Yes, 70 cents US. Per hour. BEFORE EXPENSES! Opportunity indeed. My good friend has worked on the corporate side of MLMs in Utah for years and knows just how full of B.S. the companies and distributors are. I personally watched one company formulate a product that listed as the main ingredient "deionized water". In fact, they filled the mixing vat with city water from a common garden hose. The same hose with which they cleaned the factory floors. Not even a food grade hose. Garden hoses leach plastics that are thought to be carcinogenic. This company's whole pitch is about the carcinogenic ingredients found in everyday products and how to avoid them. Yeah, right.

  4. Please Dr Bikman, I want to know about the water in the fat cells. Is the water acidic? Is it salty? Does it drain out into the body when we burn energy? Please tell me about the water in the fat cells. Thank you

  5. Keto Good is bottom line, people who stick to their carbs, do they watch this? Do they shrug their shoulders and stick with their carbs? You bet they do, my wife says Keto diet impossible, yet her RA marches on…

  6. Mg-ATP. Technically, ATP alone is NOT the energy currency of the cell. MAGNESIUM ATTACHED TO ATP is the energy currency of the cell. This FACT has been cleverly occulted from the mass mind, so people have NO IDEA how important magnesium is to their cellular energy production. Search "Wikipedia magnesium in biology.". They do teach this fact in some.biochemistry classes, but it only takes about 10 seconds and is then never discussed again, especially in medical school.
