Deuterium! How this small atomic particle could change your life.

My guests this week are two of the founders of the Center for Deuterium Depletion.

T. Que Collins, PhD is co-Founder and Principal Investigator, Cignature Health Metabolic Clinic – the first clinic in the world to use deuterium and tracer technologies to describe and follow the health status of patients with metabolic disorders such as cancer, diabetes, and autoimmune disorders.

A native of Australia, Dr. Anne Cooper, D.C., LAc. earned her Doctorate in Chiropractic from Cleveland Chiropractic College (Los Angeles), graduating with Honors in 1997, while on the Dean’s list and winning the Charles Gibson award for clinical excellence. Her growing commitment to total health and innovative healing therapies led her to continue on with over 20 years post doctoral experience in Functional Medicine and a Masters degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, graduating with highest honors in 2011. Early in her career, as a celebrity aesthetician, working with great beauties such as Ava Gabor, she realized that where there is beauty, there MUST be health and that health must be established on a very deep cellular level.

  1. So I have a 30 year old with Mitrocondrial dysfunction. He walks less than a quarter of a block and he is out for the count. Frustrating to be in a 70 year old body when you're 30!!! Will this help his condition??? If yes, what are the contact points for him???

  2. Can someone please count how many questions they technobabble themselves out of without actually answering? I can't listen to this a second time, otherwise I'd count this myself. Thank you!

  3. Fuck the costs.

If this works its worth knowing about it, tools will become cheaper, options to deal with this might increase. Even if this is apparently a minor issue, if it's a genuine issue, it's worth investing in it, and am glad people look into it.

But it seems like at least part of the answers are meant to mislead or remind me of homeopathic joke medicine.

Just feed a monkey deuterium free water and selected foods and give me real results.

  4. My blood pressure, heart rate, and health are that of a healthy 25 year old. I have lost 24 lbs on Carnivore. Also, I live next to D and D meats in Mountlake Terrace, Wa. Excellent grassfed "nose to tail" fed beef and raw milk products. Oh I just turned 50 years old. Thanks Dr. Paul!!

  5. Deuterium is a complex topic that I do think people need to be aware of. However, it's also very clear that there's much more to learn about this. Like many of you listening to this podcast, I definitely walked away from this one with more questions than answers. There's much more to learn here. I definitely do not think we should all be drinking deuterium depleted water, but I do think it's valuable to understand deuterium, which foods may be higher in it, and how we might lower our levels through lifestyle. I appreciate you all!

  6. I went on the ddcenters website and it looks like only the rich people will outlive us, if in fact deuterium is a thing. Everything on their website is extraordinarily expensive. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.

  7. This is great info about deuterium. Here is info if you can't afford to use that method.>also if you don't want to use the standard chemo.>>>Joe Tippens Cures Terminal Cancer with Pet Medicine. Fenbendazole, <( the most detailed interview) A drug made for animals used by humans to treat cancer.<<(a must read, and lots of info here) Buy Panacur on Amazon.

  8. But aren't there other things to worry about besides deuterium as a vegan/vegetarian, such as nutrient deficiencies? Just because someone can accomplish the goal of reducing or avoiding deuterium as a vegan/vegetarian, doesn't mean they're getting all necessary nutrients.

  9. So here is the major problem with this theory: The bulk of the mass of water is in the oxygen atom. So that the molecular mass of heavy water is NOT twice that of regular water but only about 11% greater. D20 mass= 20.0276 amu; H2O mass= 18.015 amu. Unlikely to cause the claimed effect to such a great degree.

  10. …I've loved every episode of the podcast…until this one. There was very little science – just a lot of pseudo-scientific meanderings. From references to deuterium being used in bombs (backed by Cobra and GI Joe…really? And no, it isn't used to make bombs and it doesn't "go boom") to at times mistakenly interchanging "nucleus" and "neutron" and "atom" and "molecule…" to "getting electrons from the Sun" to an 800 million year old earth to the Big Bang making deuterium and so there's more on Mars (wtf?) to ignoring the realities of autophagy and organelle recycling (as if if any of what they claim IS true, one "broken" nanomotor of 32,000 among 1000-2000 mitochondria in a single cell among trillions of cells… would be an issue). Wanna get rid of nasty deuterium? Fast for a few days and do exercise. Your body will construct millions or billions of new mitochondria to meet the increased energy demand and the old ones will be rapidly degraded through autophagy. Okay, that might be slightly hyperbolic, but the mechanisms are proven to get out the old and get in the new, while what these people say is, well, crackpot. And come on, the electron transport chain isn't "shooting" electrons around and cell components can't just "get them from the environment." While protons can and are found in solution (H+), electrons aren't just flinging around – they're moved from molecule to molecule via redox reactions. I suppose my frustrated point here is that you kind of let yourself take off on flights of fancy with no logical, reasoned causality between wildass claims. I don't mean to be negative, Paul. I really like your other podcasts and the people you've had on. This one was just scifi, and bad scifi at that.

  11. The mitochondria have the ability to generate heat instead of ATP when the process runs backward. There are reports of humans melting a circle of snow around them through meditative means.

  12. This topic Deuterium-Depleted water, is actually NOBEL-prize inspired research.
Here is a link from Nov. 2018 that Summarizes everything nicely; and checkout the comments after the article: " What You Need to Know About Deuterium: Fatigue, Cancer, Metabolic Issues".
= Additionally, YouTube has several more videos on "DDW" by- GABOR SOMLYAI who's book "Defeating Cancer !", I'm currently reading.
"About the author, Gabor Somlyai is a molecular biologist. … he was inspired by Hungarian Nobel-prize winner, Albert Szent-Gyorgyi, who believed that the true cause of cancer might be found at the sub-molecular level…. "
== This book is an account of experiments carried out using deuterium-depleted was (Dd-water), and of the human clinical trials underway… The most astonishing discovery was that healthy cells quickly adapt to LOWER deuterium concentration, whereas TUMOR cells are UNABLE to do so.
=== This, in the majority of cases, resulted in the DESTRUCTION OF CELLS, a decrease in tumor mass, or its total regression.
The book has detailed, actual patient's case studies. Book is about 150 pgs.
=== The book has summarized their research results and experiences over a decade long period of time. Book completion shows 2001. As mentioned this researcher is on YouTube currently!
Lots of info. in back of book for RESOURCES of DDW, Preventa-105.
    – But as mentioned, in the Link I provided, I believe a company that has the DDW is stated too.
Best wishes all. And don't always think things are snake oil until you REALLY READ some hard facts. THX.

  13. Amazing! I've listened to this several times. I've been reading about food grade hydrogen peroxide as a healing agent. I'm wondering if there is a connection between taking H2O2 and cleaning out deuterium. Do you know, Dr. Saladino, if H2O2 therapy is safe? Karen

  14. Deuterium depletion is snake oil in scientific which doesn't work.

A lot of unsupported facts in this podcast.
Deuterium doesn't break ATP synthase(motor rotor), but probably slow it down a little (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.go

"Nevertheless, it is not expected that deuteronation will completely inhibit ATP synthase activity: if this were the case, given a maximum proton transit rate through F0 of ~1000/s [11], we would expect ATP synthase activity to stop at the probable passage of deuterons within ~15 seconds. Since the half life of the c subunit of F0 is 40–50 hours [12], this would kill an organism within a very short time.

Deuterium concentration in water 1/6600, but due to lower dissociation constant concentration of D+ ion is 1/15000.

How much deuterium have impact on on ATP synthesis? Also deuterium concentration in animal foods are minimal (

All people weight less after sleeping.

  15. So…
Deuterium is a hydrogen atom with an extra molecule in the middle called a neutron…
Deuterium is a hydrogen atom with an extra particle in the nucleus called a neutron…
Am sure it was just a slip of the tongue
