Michael is currently a Physiotherapist and the Medical Research and Innovation Lead at British Athletics in London, UK. He has obtained his masters in strength and conditioning and graduate certificate in sports physiotherapy. He consults at the Centre for Health and Human Performance (CHHP) treating predominantly hip and groin, and lower limb muscle injuries as well as Total Performance, a company that specialises in lower limb muscle injuries, tendon monitoring and 3D biomechanical analysis in European football, NBA and NFL. He is also a tutor at the Health Development and Performance Network co-authoring the Lower Limb Muscle Injuries course.
The Calf Project is an international collaboration of health professionals working together to answer clinical questions on Calf Muscle Strain Injuries (CMSI). To date we have 200+ clubs and organisations agreeing to provide anonymised data on elite athletes who sustain a CMSI.
