Thermoregulation in Mammals

In this video lecture Amjad Umer Ranjha explained a topic of MDCAT Thermoregulation in Mammals/Humans from Homeostasis.

In lecture thermoregulatory strategies like shivering and non shivering thermogenesis are explained. Shivering includes contraction and shivering of muscles. Non shivering thermogenesis includes hormonal trigger, brown fat, under skin fat etc.

Thermoregulatory strategies in cold and warm temperatures in mammals are discussed.

Thermostat Function of Hypothalamus and Feedback Control in Humans is explained.

Pyrexia fever in temperature and pyrogens are explained.
