1 MONTH ICE SWIM CHALLENGE (WIM HOF METHOD)

This video is about my experience of a one-month commitment to daily breathing exercises and cold exposures using the Wim Hof app. Daily I heard a 10min teaching plus did the daily, increasing breathing and cold exposures starting with cold showers. My first try at ice swim was quite unsuccessful but curiosity took over and I had to try this. Soon enough I found local people who practice this for years. It was a nice break from my quarantine routine that has been going for nearly 4 months now due to the second wave of the COVID 19 virus.

BIG THANK YOU
To my friends who helped with filming. Especially to Skaistė Ašmenavičiūtė (check out her photos on Instagram @skaisteas) and another friend who wishes to be anonymous for good company and expressing curiosity to try ice swimming. I hope you will come next year!

To another friend who drove me several times to green lakes and who is an expert in this practice! And also very warmly to my new friends from Vilnelės Pankai – for inspiring courage on those first swims.

DISCLAIMER
This method is not for everyone! I had friends who have tried it and did not like it at all. So please be careful if you are a newbie. Best to check with your doctor first, especially if you have any pre-existing medical conditions.

MUSIC
The Awakening and The Initiation are both songs from Wim Hof Music.

  1. Cold is nothing more than an absence of warmth. Only in absence can one find out what they truly are inside. Spring will bring warmth again to everyone and the line between those who have it and those who don't will be blurred until the next winter.
