Mitochondria News for Athletes
This is AN INSANE amount of work! Each one of those figures is easily a month if not 6 months or a year’s worth of experiments. He builds a really good case logically and has a good mix of computational/high throughput and wet lab experiments. Really good story. I always appreciate a speaker who anchors his/her talk with a slide that goes back to the big picture and helps the audience remain oriented (the slide with the 6 points). The model cartoons are also nice. I like the slide that starts with the variant and breaks out to cell type, epi changes, expression changes and phenotypes. Very nice!
Thank you for posting this and for what you do!! Watching you on Lex Fridman’s podcast has inspired me to take Bioinformatics and computational biology electives in my last year of undergrad at Queen’s U in Canada!
