Strength Training for Cyclists & Triathletes – Part 1



What is strength training for cycling & triathlon ?

When most people think about strength training they think pumping iron, Venice Beach or yoked up gym rats.

When I think about strength, I see gymnasts, martial artists and dancers. Strength isn’t so much about how much weight you can move, it’s about how much weight you can move relative to your body weight. And with how much control you can move that weight.

Elephants are strong, but Ant’s are stronger. Just like in the animal kingdom, cycling & triathlon are power to weight sports.
