I think it can offset some problems, but not the biggest one, good keto takes 2 weeks to offset some of the problems i have because of carbs, i tried eating normally, not a bad diet, just one with carbs, and fast one day a week, and i mean a full day, so 36H aprox total, i still get the problems that come from carbs, it takes a longer time and there are less problems, but they still present, in short, it helps, but it doesn't replace a good diet.

  2. Two questions –

    Does the high fat / high calorie diet the mice were on include any carbohydrates to avoid ketosis?

    When the mice “weren’t tolerating” the end of their mimicking fast is this indicative of refeeding syndrome?

  3. I've had a couple of cheat days. Generally offset them by getting back into Keto with a 48 hour fast, which helps me lose any weight gained as well. I don't think you need a 5 day fast, unless you were drinking straight up sugared ice-cream shakes and eating tons of bread for about 20 days or more. Most of our cheat days aren't so extreme and a 48 hour water fast resolves most issues

  4. The refeat or cheat meals will not hurt in any way. You have to FEEL when you can do it. It's not once a week maybe in the beginning but later when your fat is between 6 and 4 % you can do more often. It's all about feeling your ❤ and soul. Your mind/brain wants to fool you it is weak. But with A vision and a determination you will succeed. 🌈🐉🐟❤AE1🙏

  5. I can always reverse any weight gain with the triumvirate of exercise, fasting, and keto. Fasting is the best one because I'm super focused and highly productive on those starving days
