  4. I started taking turmeric after my abdominal surgery(Hysterotomy and hernia repair) . I decided not to take Motrin. It is two weeks post operation and my swelling has gone completely.

  7. Hi, Thomas! I love, love your videos and appreciate the science!!! I am, however, getting overwhelmed in trying to figure out what my daily vitamin supplement regimen should be!!! I am doing a protein heavy keto diet, I'm 50 yrs old and trying to lose weight and maintain muscle and skin tone. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! I understand that you are not a doctor. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜Š (ps: my PCP is not interested in addressing supplements.)

  8. Hi Thomas: Thanks for all the information but can you clarify the following. In this video, are you talking about the benefits of Turmeric or just curcumin? Are all the different benefits you mention here from either, or, or both Turmeric and curcumin? What I am taking mentions only the curcumin content and not any other compounds that turmeric contains. Thanks in advance.

  9. What do you think about turmeric supposedly being one of the highest oxolate-containing plants? Oxolates in high quantities (turmeric has very high levels) can cause gut inflammation and other issues which may negate some of the benefits of taking it. Maybe we'd be better off if we were taking an extract, perhaps?
