  1. I read it too…Marilyn and Harvey Diamond, Fit for Life. I was vegetarian at the time (not vegan) and I actually had great digestion but—because I cooked Indian food quite often, I did eat rice with dal :). For fruit consumption, I noticed a huge difference not eating it later in the day and/or after a meal. Everybody's biology is unique though :).
