  2. my wife does night shifts (~7 days a month from 19:00 till 07:00). im really worried not only about aging but possible mental decline in the future. she usually sleeps 00 till 11 before the shift and then after the shift just a short sleep 08 till 12:30 .. it's far from ideal. what can be done to minimize the harm? does it make sense to take melatonin at 08 after shift? any other tips ? at least she dont eat during the night

  3. I never had luck with melatonin supplements for sleep, just never worked, BUT I found a precursor to melatonin which is 5-HTP.
    It is like tryptophan, the chemical in turkey that makes you sleepy. I found if I take one dose immediately before bed, it helps me fall asleep faster and I feel more rested when I wake up.
    I think my ability to sleep was improved with a few doses, and now I only take it when I feel like my mind is racing (often due to caffeine) and it would be impossible to fall asleep.

  4. Hey! Happy to find you again! Became familiar with and appreciated your vid on polyphasic sleeping a couple years or so ago and you inspired me to just go for it. I did it successfully for a while, but I'm still trying to figure out how to do it sustainably, healthfully, and so that it doesn't interrupt my strength gains, like you. Do you practice polyphasic sleeping anymore?

  5. Great information Siim! I wondering how much someone’s weight effects supplement dosing? I am about 105 pounds with very little body fat. I would think that I would need a lot less to get the same results as someone twice my size for example. Is this true? No one seems to talk about this 🤔…

  6. Is there any risk to taking melatonin and then not being able to produce it endogenously?

    And which of these have results that can’t otherwise be achieved by a human-appropriate diet?
