QUOTES:

“50 percent of normal weight individuals have no metabolic flexibility.” [13:03]

“At full ketosis, human beings can only meet 30% of their calorie needs by burning ketones. The rest have to come from free fatty acids and glucose.” [19:09]

“Ketones are not a super fuel, they are actually a signaling molecule that tells mitochondria to protect themselves at all cost from damage” [20:15]

“In a ketogenic diet, if you do it right and uncouple your mitochondria, you waste fuel. You feed six dogs instead of one, and that’s where the benefit of ketosis comes from.” [30:21]

“You want to cycle in and out of ketosis on a 24 hour basis.” [49:37]

“It’s the cycling in and out of getting the benefits of ketosis. Without full ketosis, that makes all the difference.” [56:29]

  1. I find it very interesting and still there came some questions: what, if the sweet potatoes and the purslays -also cinamon and cacao are the highest sources of Oxalates in the diet? How can effect this point the healhy polyphenole ritch diet?

  2. Incredible amount and quality information here. Thank you soooooooooo much 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼✨💛✨💛✨💛✨

  3. OMGosh!! I just figured out why our UNHEALTH system cuts off the placenta at the belly button so all that mitochondria uncouplimg dna & long life force etc does NOT go into the baby when it is born!

  4. im just curious, and id love it if anyone could answer it:
so he says the mitochondria is told to waste more energy on keto, which should leave us with less energy overall, how come most, atleast EVERYONE ive talked to, say they get so much more energy and no energy crashes during the day at all?

  5. plant based diet for longevity and disease free plants have full of antioxidant polyphenols phenolic compound can extend lifespan. not meat egg red meat cannot extend lifespan .

  6. I have been fascinated by mitochondria since childhood. They are not really "us", but little critters in our cells with their own DNA & when threatened, they save themselves. Makes perfect sense! We can work with them.

  7. Steven Grundy is a friction legend. I stopped taking uncoated paracetamol to protect my gut, and I stopped vomiting after certain eating foodstuffs which were the cause.

  8. What an embarrassing, lying quack Gundry is. His lectin theory is supported by no recognized experts and is beyond ridiculous. I don’t know why these celebrity hack “nutritionists” get so much attention when it’s obvious that they make outlier claims just to get attention and in Gundry’s case, sell an entire line of expensive supplements created to “treat” his absurd, nonexistent maladies.
