From Humans to Cyborgs – How Humanity Could be Transformed through Technology | Technology Documentary

Watch ‘How Biotechnology Is Changing the World’ here:

With Augmented Humanity we will travel from the US to Japan, into the heart of secret labs of the most borderline scientists in the world, who try to push the boundaries of life through technology. Robotics is an important step, but the future of our species is not in a massive substitution by robots, on the contrary, robotics and technology must be used to improve the human being.

  1. 1 Corinthians 3:11; Acts 4:12. It is good that a portion of humanity is considering life, instead of killing and death – John 8:44. Ezekiel 18:4,20 every soul/life belongs to God. In his due time and by the Way he has appointed, in the future there is already secured, everlasting life. Jesus died for everyone and God raising Jesus out of death Acts 2:32-39 – the guaranteed life is waiting in the future for humanity. Isaiah 35:4-10. First we are learning that imperfect dying aging humans cannot keep themselves alive forever. Afterwards the waters of life will breakout in the Desert/World society, and similar to General Naaman humanity after humbling themselves and cleaning up their attitudes and hearts by the water of the Word. They will become clean and perfect and sooooo happy. Oh 🎢Happy Day, when Jesus washed my sins awayπŸŽ΅πŸ‘‹β˜ΊπŸ•Š

  2. Why would I human want to live for ever??? It would be insane to want to be a complete robot. I am a paralyzed war veteran who can see some improvements into being able to get around better and in today's world we do have some transplants like the hearts transplants. But why would we want to become a machine???

  3. It's becoming clearer that with all the brain and consciousness theories out there, the proof will be in the pudding. By this I mean, can any particular theory be used to create a human adult level conscious machine. My bet is on the late Gerald Edelman's Extended Theory of Neuronal Group Selection. The lead group in robotics based on this theory is the Neurorobotics Lab at UC at Irvine. Dr. Edelman distinguished between primary consciousness, which came first in evolution, and that humans share with other conscious animals, and higher order consciousness, which came to only humans with the acquisition of language. A machine with primary consciousness will probably have to come first.

  4. Interesting technology but look how mobiles have already reduced interaction with each other. Imagine spending more time with a robot than your own friends or family..

  5. While science is amazing in itself; risks are enormous and real. Progress is not progress if all consequences are not weighed in. Guess to do that we all need to start with what a human being means to us.

  6. I think we could COPY our minds at some point, but I don't think a true upload will ever be possible. We should probably still pursue this, but I'm eyes wide open that it would be a COPY of me that achieves immortality, not the original. I would be like a father to an immortal son.

  7. Wow im looking forward to the future. BTW none of this will happen. Just the idea of it shows there is people out there that have never lived in the first place
