Metabolic Health, Mitochondria, and Deuterium with Professor Laszlo Boros!

Dr Laszlo Boros is Professor Emeritus of Pediatrics at the UCLA School of Medicine, where he spent years in biochemical laboratory research, and is recognized as an internationally recognized expert of metabolic water biochemistry as well as deuterium-mediated kinetic isotopic effects on health and disease. While there, he was Co-Director of the Stable Isotope Research Laboratory at the Lundquist Institute for Biomedical Innovations (LUNDQUIST) and Investigator at the Clinical and Translational Research Institute at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center with a primary focus on studying cancer cell metabolism. Now in his native country of Hungary, he teaches Deuterium based biomechanics and biochemistry (Deutenomics) at the University level. Watch this episode for a masterclass on the workings of your mitochondria in health and disease, how this can be disrupted by excess deuterium, and what you can do about it. Enjoy!

  1. Anthony, can you debate Dan Buettner , or debunk his book about Blue Zones? He recently appeared on Dave Asprey's podcast ,bragging about the positive effect of plant diet , and attributed the longevity in the Blue Zones to that diet..

  2. I’ve just visited site from Dr. Boros, and it is all on English. Is there something on the web about carnivore on Hungarian? It’s not problem for me, but it is really hard to find something for people like my mother who doesn’t speak english. :/ I am sure there is somebody here who can help me with this. Last time I’ve heard about Dr.Clemens, I couldn’t find anything as well.

  3. Such an interesting example of the Seals ?

I’ve been researching mitochondrial function in the cell. Both of my siblings had lymphoma so it’s important for me to learn as much as I can to prevent that ever happening to me.
It’s interesting to learn that deuterium can affect the mitochondrial function. Because of the modifications in the structure of the ? cell ?

Carnivore has been my first step to prevention but I believe that if I can unlock this process and deplete excess deuterium then I can cure my fatigue and prevent serious illness.

I’m going to have to rewatch this interview a couple times to understand this fully! ? ??‍?

  4. Anthony please keep doing videos on deuterium! I recently started learning about it and it’s fascinating! Could u talk to Robert Slovak and Victor Sagalovsky please? They are the ultimate two on this subject. I’d love to hear you speak with them on this very important subject. It goes deeper in our health than we all know!

  5. If deuterium is heavier can't one simply leave a glass still for a period of time and then just drink the top percent of the water and thereby not consume any deuterium

  6. I don't mind the accent too much, especially since that can't be helped, but I wish the audio quality was better, it's such a shame. Especially because the content is so amazingly good.

  7. Timestamp -1.17 Yet I have seen somewhere that if you take a cancerous nucleus and put it in a healthy cell no cancer will spread to future cell generations. BUT if you take a damaged mitochondria and do the same cancer will spread to future cell generations. Claim was that cancer has more to do with damaged mitochondria than DNA – genetics. Dr Boros seems to disagree (?)
Mitochondrial health allegedly improves if you do extended fasts 3-4 times per year (5-7 days) How do I balance Deuterium in my body? Is it possible?
    Or am I confused ?

  8. Now I am puzzled about the amount of water we should be drinking. While I was supplementing electrolites to get rid of night feet cramps which are extremely painful I found out that increasing water consumption may help with that. I did started to drink 1.5 liter of water every single day and my feet cramps are gone. Now I still take electrolites supplement and drink water
Not sure what to think of professor's Boros reason not drinking water for 4 days but instead eating fat to stay hydrated. If feet cramping was not as plainful at it was I would experiment with eating fat instead of drinking water but just thought of night cramping of my feet makes me scared.

  9. Hello Anthony, We are very glad that we found you. Thanks to you, we are now carnivore and feel so much better. Now we switch our cat to raw meat as well. Maybe you have some experiences with animals also? Would it be enough to give them just meat and chicken? Best wishes to you 🙂

  10. I wonder how this fits with myalgic encephalomyelitis. As I understand it the reason you have severely depleted energy levels and are dysfunctional is because your mitochondria don't function well. I can't find a lot of information on it though. Any recommendations, I'm carnivore and that helps but I'm interested in understanding what's going on. Thank you for the interesting videos.
