I started following Chris Irving on his Instagram account right about the time I first STARTED an IG account several years ago. Simply put, he has a knack (and a passion) for researching and re-teaching information. Much of his content is eye-catching info-graphs with information that feels so commonsense after he explains it that you wonder how we have all missed it for so many years. He makes the truth painfully obvious in such a good way. This passion led him into a job at a company that I’ve spoken of many times before, working for a doctor whose work, I’ve quoted many times before.

The company is Perfect Keto, where he is now the education coordinator. His first year on the job was spent co-writing a book that answers almost every question (maybe everyone!) I have ever been asked about a ketogenic approach to life. This book is called “Keto Answers: Simplifying Everything You Need to Know About the World’s Most Confusing Diet.” He has also recently started the “Thinking Health” podcast with guests ranging from athletes, to doctors, to chefs, which has the same flow of well researched, real-world knowledge that you will find on his IG and in his book!

In this interview, I really want to dive in to:
-is a Keto and/or Carnivore approach actually right for most people?
-how do we know if we are getting enough protein?
-how do we know if we are eating too little protein?
-what are some pitfalls of eating too few calories on a keto diet?
If we have time we will certainly find out:
-when and how to use exogenous ketones
-AND find out what Chris is most passionate about RIGHT NOW!
