In this video, I review my top 7 ways to boost testosterone levels naturally. Here are the strategies I discuss
1. Improve Your Metabolic Flexibility
This allows your mitochondria to burn both sugar (glucose) and fatty acids.
2. Eat Enough Protein
This is key for lean body mass development and testosterone production. Consume 0.5 – 1 gram per pound of body weight (specifically lean body mass)
3. Get Rid of Bad Fats and Eat More Good Fats
Stop eating trans fats and processed vegetable and seed oils and consume healthy fats from grass-fed animal products, extra virgin olive oil, avocados and coconut. My favorite brand of Fresh Pressed Extra Virgin Olive oil here: shorturl.at/cGLX8
4. Reduce Stress and Improve Sleep
Chronic stress and poor sleep quality increase cortisol levels and deplete testosterone production. Here is a helpful article on how to improve deep sleep quality: https://drjockers.com/deep-sleep/
5. Lift Heavy Weights
Mechanical loading at high intensity stimulates testosterone production. My favorite exercises are compound movements like squats, deadlifts, lunges, bent over rows, etc.
6. Get Regular Sun Exposure or Red Light Therapy
Sun exposure, optimizing vitamin D and getting red light and infrared light therapy help boost testosterone production. For a detailed article on Red Light Therapy go here: https://drjockers.com/red-light-therapy/
7. Cold Exposure
Getting cold exposure helps stimulate testosterone production. I take cold showers every day to get a great testosterone, dopamine burst that gives me more energy and mental clarity. Here is a helpful article on cold showers: https://drjockers.com/cold-showers/
