Cell-Mitochondria(Structure and functions) /Ashwani Biology

This video lecture explains structure and functions of Mitochondria. Mitochondria is double membranous.Outer membrane is covering the outer surface and have large pores called Porins to ensure transportation across the membrane. Inner membrane has finger like folds call Cristae to increase surface area for more ATP generating reactions. The most important function of Mitochondria is oxidative phosphorylation in which ATP are produced with the help of oxysomes present inner membrane.
