The Ketogenic Diet is a high fat, moderate protein, and very low carbohydrate diet.

Through the restriction of carbohydrates, it re-programs your metabolism to burn your fat stores for fuel rather than using the glycogen stored in your muscles.

The low-carb intake helps to keep your insulin and blood sugar levels from spiking.

This allows your fat cells to begin releasing fatty acids, which your liver will then breakdown to produce what are called “ketones.”

Ketosis is the physiological state that is achieved when your body breaks down ketones for energy rather than the glucose from carbohydrates.

My website:

what’s up everyone. It’s your host, drew manning of the fit to fat, to fit experience podcast. How’s everyone doing today? Thank you guys so much for tuning in to today’s episode food. Uh, I always enjoy, uh, yeah, you guys tuning in and hopefully you guys enjoy these podcasts episodes that I, um, that I do. And, um, I, for those of you who are new, who have not heard of me, most of you guys know me from my fit to fat to fit experience podcast, or sorry, my fit to fat to fit experience. Uh, my journey that I did five years ago, where I intentionally gained 75 pounds in six months to better understand what it was like to be overweight for the first time in my life, and to have more empathy, more respect, and a better understanding for my clients who were overweight. Uh, it was a crazy experiment and I learned so much from it.

I was humbled. It was way harder than I thought. And I could definitely say that I have a better understanding now, especially on the mental and emotional side of things. And that’s kind of what my, uh, podcasts, um, expresses. And I try and, um, bring people on that are experts in all different types of fields. I’ve had, you know, fitness celebrities, I’ve had other celebrities. I’ve had doctors nutritionists, uh, today. Uh, I brought on a biohacker and his name’s Todd. I met him at a keto conference. He’s got an amazing story. He has an amazing product where you talk about everything, wine and alcohol and the alcohol industry and the problems with, uh, wine in general, that’s out there. Um, and he’s pretty passionate about it. And I think he, you know, with right with good reason too, because there’s no nutritional labels on wine and there’s no ingredient list.

And why is that? Have any guys ever stopped to think about why there is no nutritional label or why there is no ingredient labels on wine, for example. Um, so we kind of dive into that and we talk about his dry farm wine, um, which is ketogenic, no sugar, and it’s a low alcohol content, um, and a lower alcohol content at 12 and a half percent versus most commercial wine is 14 and a half percent or above sometimes. But anyways, we talked about the importance of the end. The cool thing I like about Todd is that he, he, he doesn’t, he doesn’t B S he, he she’s a straight shooter and he says, straight up, you know, alcohol is a toxin, you know, it’s toxic to your body. Um, but there are healthier ways of doing, of doing it. And so we, we get into all of that.

So you definitely want to, uh, listen to this episode, especially if you enjoy your wine and, and how, how alcohol affects your body. So, um, a lot of great information, I learned a ton. I know you guys will as well before we jump into the episode, though, our show sponsor today is actually dry farm wines. And, uh, they sponsor this episode obviously, but, um, you know, the reason that I, um, wanted to create a link for you guys, because he’s giving away a free bottle. Well, it’s not free. Technically you got to pay one penny because you can’t give alcohol away free, supposedly. So anyways, I’m Todd set up a link for all the fit, tight fit followers out there. So just go to dry farm forward slash fit to fat, to fit, and you’ll get a free or a 1 cent bottle of wine of his dry farm wine.

That’s ketogenic, low sugar. You won’t have hangovers. Um, it’s an awesome product. You guys, um, I kind of look at alcohol similar to how I view sugar, and we all know it’s bad for you, right? But at the same time, there’s certain situations that, um, you create memories sometimes with family or friends or certain experience that you remember. And I believe that sometimes alcohol or sugar in some situations when it’s controlled and the right amount of dosage is, is there, that it can be, you know, special memories for some of us or bringing family or friends closer together.
