In this video, we’re warning you about a potential side effect of fluoroquinolones – nerve damage. AS fluoroquinolones are one of the most commonly used antibiotics, it’s important to be aware of the potential side effects of these medications. In this video, we’re sharing a warning about fluoroquinolones – cautionary tale of nerve damage caused by fluoroquinolones.

Antibiotics are one of the most commonly prescribed medications in the world, and for good reason. However, there are some potential side effects associated with antibiotic toxicity, one of which is nerve damage. In this Neuropathy Alert, we’ll discuss the possible dangers of taking antibiotics especially if you already suffer from nerve damage. If you’re a person with neuropathy, you know that taking antibiotics can be a lifesaving decision. However, you might not be aware that antibiotic toxicity may be lurking around the corner and can also cause nerve damage.

  1. Hi Danielle. Of course any video about Neuropathy catches my attention. I watched it 2 times. Good one. I had infusion today. Question..EMG's are for large fibers, correct? What is used for small fibers?
    Thanks, Joyce

  2. I somehow ended up with an infection in my pituitary gland in 2012. I had surgery in London Ontario Canada and spent 5 weeks in the hospital. The put me on flovoxomine and lovoxomine I think thats the spelling for 4 months. I have had small fiber neuropathy now for about 3 years. It started with my legs turning darker in colour. The doctors always speak of the pain as if it's a small inconvenience but believe me the pain is insane almost 24 hours a day. I also have real bad memory loss. They did a case study on me as infections in the pituitary are very, very rare. The one positive side to this if there ever was one is now my dreams are lucid and intense. I can actually manipulate my dreams most of these time.

  3. I had a perfect life before being prescribed Ciprofloxacin in September of 2020 . Thank you for making this video to raise awareness . I was given this poison for a sinus infection at the time and the beginning reaction was hands down what i would call hell on earth . I have come a long way since 2020 but i still deal with alot on a daily basis

  4. Wow ???? really. Dudnt know.
I don't like side affects of AB s…
And im allergic to a few .. im one of those people who r highly sensitive to meds. Ridiculously so.
I don't feel so bad now saying only zithromax . Ever. Unless different than sinus or chest infection.
Only thing is i need 2 rounds now to clear it. But freaking works .
    Ty for this.
