Mitochondrial Health

Importance of Minerals: Catherine Alan

Catherine Alan joins us to share with us the importance of minerals.

Fatigue is the most common complaint. But why?

Why are we as a society so tired? In short, we live high-stress lives and eat toxic, nutrient-devoid foods. This lifestyle causes many problems – from hormone imbalance to obesity and every chronic disease.

While there is a lot to unpack there, the foundation of prosperity in health is the mitochondrial function; those little “power generators” of cells we learned in 7th-grade science class do so much more, and they need minerals. [1]

The best way to give the body a mineral boost is by utilizing humic and fulvic complexes. The tiny fulvic particles are smaller than a cell and can take the inside where the mitochondria are located.

Made from ancient plant deposits, humate, which contains humic and fulvic complexes, is derived and includes the full spectrum of micronutrients, phytonutrients, trace elements, amino acids, and B vitamins. Most of those are what we need to live.

Unfortunately, due to conventional farming practices, those things aren’t found in the foods we eat. And those that are end up bound up by glyphosate and unavailable to be used by the plants, thus those consuming the produce. [2]

Another extremely positive aspect of the humic complex is that it binds and helps detoxify the body of the poisonous glyphosate. [3]

So by taking humic complexes, we can get the junk out of our bodies and provide abundant micronutrients to the body at one time.

Once I fully grasped that, I made supplementing a top priority for my family.

I’m the self-proclaimed biggest fan of Dave Asprey and came across BEAM Minerals and their co-founder Caroline Alan through Dave’s podcast.

One of the first supplements in Lander’s journey with cancer was BEAM Minerals.

Again, it provides hard-to-come-by nutrients and aid in detoxification. After all, for some reason, cancer was able to get away from his body’s immune system.

My philosophy is that disease stems from a combination of toxicity and deficiency. It’s just mitochondrial dysfunction caused by those two, but that’s harder to wrap our minds around. Humic and fulvic complexes address the root causes of my hypothesis.

BEAM Minerals are my choice, and I’m proud to work with them. And by doing so, Caroline has been gracious enough to give us a discount code – Lander.
