Structure – Mitochondria is a double membrane ,rod shape structure,which is present in Eukaryotic cells.
The outer membrane and inner membrane both separated by the intermembrane space.
Outre membrane is porous but inner membrane is deeply folded.fold are called cristae.
The fluid cantains in the mitochondria is called matrix
They have their own ribosome and DNA.
Function – It release energy in the form of ATP molecules.
Mitochondria is also called Power House of the Cells.
