Mitochondria is present in all Eukaryotic Cells. Some cells have a large single Mitochondrion but more often a cell has hundreds or even thousands of Mitochondria, the numbers are dependent upon metabolic activity. Mitochondria are capable to divide themselves in order to increase their number. That’s why, Mitochondria is a Self-replicating organelle. Mitochondria is a site of Cellular Respiration.
