Plastids-Kitchen of the cell |
In this video I am going to explain Plastids, a double membrane bound cell organelle. Plastids are called as kitchen of the cell because green plants made their food with the help of Plastids by the process of photosynthesis.
Plastids are of 3 types-
1. Chloroplast- contains green pigments e.g- In leaves .
2.Chromoplast- contains colorful pigments e.g- in flower and fruits .
3.Leucoplast- contains colourless pigments e.g- storage of fat & protein granules.
