Sovateltide is a selective agonist of endothelin B receptors. We have demonstrated a novel role of sovateltide in differentiation of neural progenitor stem cells into neuronal cells. It also helps mitochondrial fusion and biogenesis in neural cells. Altogether, sovateltide helps in regeneration, repair and functional restoration of neural tissues after ischemic stroke in adult rat brains.
