Betty C. Villafuerte, M.D., Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism & Diabetes at The University of Louisville, presented “Adipose Disorders Masquerading as Obesity” at University of Louisville Department of Medicine Grand Rounds on January 9, 2014.
The talk focused on recognizing diseases associated with altered amounts and distribution of adipose tissue, understanding the pathophysiology, and awareness of treatment for various conditions associated with lipomatosis.
