Stealth’s lead investigational compound elamipretide targets the inner mitochondrial membrane, binds to cardiolipin and has been shown to improve mitochondrial function. It is being studied in rare diseases linked to mitochondrial dysfunction such as primary mitochondrial myopathy and Barth syndrome.
