Melatonin and Mitochondria – What the Current Science says about “The Darkness Hormone”

From COVID and Long-Haulers (including Mold, Lyme, Heavy Metal Toxicity…) to Cancer, Alzheimer’s, TBIs, PCOS and more, melatonin is one of the hottest topics in research science. The reason is because we now know that less than 5% of melatonin is released from the pineal gland in response to the absence of light (darkness), while 95% of melatonin is actually found in the cells and the mitochondria, and people are seeing successful results by taking higher (like- REALLY HIGH) doses of this popular over-the-counter nutritional supplement with little to no side effects. This video reviews several recent studies and teaches how, by impacting the mitochondria and reversing something called The Warburg Effect, or aerobic glycolysis, melatonin is able to impact energy production, inflammation, oxidative stress, and many related conditions of chronic and complex health conditions.
