Signs Of Mitochondrial Dysfunction In Kids & Adults w/ Dr Elisa Song

Pediatric functional medicine expert, and holistic pediatrician, Dr Elisa Song, talks about the purpose of our mitochondria, which is of course to produce energy.

However, energy levels are not necessarily related to mitochondrial dysfunction. Dr Song tells us she looks more at energy over time or endurance. A child may have tons of energy one moment, but may fizzle out and need a break after 15-20 minutes. That could be one sign of mitochondrial weakness.

Dr Elisa goes into a wide variety of signs and symptoms that could indicate mitochondrial dysfunction in both kids and adults. She also gives us ideas on how to support our mitochondria.
