Plastids and Mitochondria – Cell Structure and Functions (CBSE Grade 11 Biology)



Plastids are found in all plant cells and in euglenoides. Based on the type of pigments plastids can be classified into chloroplasts, chromoplasts and leucoplasts. Mitochondria, the power house of the cells as they are involve in ATP generation, storage and supply of ATP according to the need of the cell and they are double-membrane organelles.
