ROS, SCD1, and Reductive Stress: Theory of Obesity with Brad Marshall

Obesity has soared from 14% to 42% since 1980. The commonly accepted explanation is over-eating and under-exercising.

However, over the last 20+ years, as obesity continued to soar, calorie consumption has gone down (even sugar consumption is down) and physical activity has increased.*

How can this be?

In this chat Brad Marshall sets out to unravel the mysteries of obesity.

Could eating the wrong kinds of fat push our metabolisms into “hibernation mode” where metabolic rates drop as the body shifts towards “storage” over “burning.”
